Thanks to their S35/FF modularity and flexibility, EZ zooms are the preferred lens choice for all levels of filmmaking. Using Angénieux’s innovative IRO (Interchangeable Rear Optics) Technology®, versatile, future-proof Angénieux EZ zooms work with multiple camera formats. The EZ series features dedicated rear optical groups customized for both S35 and Full Frame sensors, and provide interchangeable PL, RF, EF & E mounts compatibility on demand.

The New EZ-3 Lens

The EZ-3 lens is the new Tele-lens addition to the versatile, future proof Angénieux EZ series. Based on the same philosophy as EZ-1 and EZ-2, the EZ-3 is a compact and affordable cinestyle zoom lens. It also includes improvements such as a quick IRO Technology® mechanism and dual focus scales (feet-meters). The new Tele zoom 45 - 165 mm T2.3/T3 S35 and 68 - 250 mm T3.5/T4.5 FF works with multiple camera formats, thanks to its easy interchangeable mount system (PL, RF, EF, E)

Cine-Style & ENG Type Applications

EZ lenses are designed for full manual operation, with sufficient rotation angles for creative and precise focus, zoom and iris control. The lens mechanics is made with high-quality, lightweight metal for precision and durability, including temperature compensation to avoid recalibration. EZ Zooms provide incredibly fast T-stops, large format sensor coverage, and thanks to their industry-standard 0.8 gear teeth on all three rings, are compatible with lens motors and follow focus units for Cine Style acquisition. The 114mm front diameter is matte box compatible, a Hood is also available. For ENG shooting, a broadcast servo unit (MSU), was designed specifically for EZ Zooms, and is compatible with a wide variety of hand controllers for remote lens control.

Fast Aperture & Up To Full Frame

EZ lenses are available as a S35 & FF/VV package, and are among the fastest aperture in the industry for S35 cameras. They cover an image circle up to 30mm diagonal for cameras recording in HDTV/UHD modes and APS-C format DSLRs. The large format option makes the lenses cover an image circle up to 46mm diagonal, thanks to the innovative IRO Technology®. The lenses perfectly match Full-Frame sensors by RED, ARRI, SONY and other cameras with larger image circles. In S35 cameras, the large format rear group also functions as a 1.5x extender.
