Integrated and Modular Design, Ready to Use

DJI Ronin 4D offers a completely unique design. Crafted with carbon fiber and aluminum magnesium, its solid body integrates the imaging, stabilization, and focusing systems, as well as wireless transmission and control. DJI Ronin 4D integrates cinematic imaging, a 4-axis gimbal, LiDAR focusing, and wireless video transmission and control,  making it incredibly convenient for you to start shooting quickly.

8K Combo includes:

Main Body, Gimbal Camera, Main Monitor, LiDAR Range Finder, Hand Grips, Top Handle.
Compared to the 6K combo, it additionally includes a DJI DL PZ 17-28 mm T3.0 ASPH Lens, PROSSD 1TB, PROSSD Mount, a RAW License Key, and more, ready to be used right out of box.

Full-Frame Gimbal Camera for Cinematic Footage

Ronin 4D is equipped with Zenmuse X9, DJI’s flagship full-frame camera. It also features DJI’s latest image processing system, CineCore 3.0. This system uses DJI’s proprietary chip to provide advanced processor architecture, offering extremely high-performance computing power in a compact cinema camera. CineCore 3.0 allows Ronin 4D to support internal recording of Apple ProRes RAW, Apple ProRes 422 HQ, and H.264 video. It also supports up to 8K/75fps and 4K/120fps video recording, delivering multiple options for professional-level creation.
The full-frame X9 gimbal supports 14.7 stops of dynamic range, dual native ISO, built-in 9-stop ND filters, and interchangeable lens mounts to put cinematic imagery within your reach.

Resolution

DCI 8K (8192×4320)/60fps video retains every little detail, from rich foliage to inspiring architecture, skin texture to strands of hair, all with flawless quality. For those who need to output in 4K, recording in 8K offers unprecedented creative options with more flexibility for cropping, re-composing, and stabilizing videos in post.

Dynamic Range

With 14+ stops of dynamic range, Zenmuse X9 delivers natural transitions of hightlights and shadows in complex lighting conditions such as backlit scenes and direct sunlight. These traditionally difficult scenes can now be captured easily and with confidence.

High ISO

Zenmuse X9 supports dual native ISO. X9-8K offers EI 800/4000 at full-frame 30fps and belov, and EI 320/1600 above 30fps. It records images with exquisite detail and minimal noise, even when filming an evening cityscape or a scene lit by dim candlelight.

Color Science

With the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and robust computing power provided by CineCore 3.0, Zenmuse X9 is able to give images a cinematic look by retaining authentic and accurate colors. It also supports the industry-standard ACES workflow for effortless compatibility with the color tones of other cinema cameras.

Precise and Intuitive LiDAR Focusing

Autofocus is fast, accurate, and reliable even in low-lit environments, and is now available on manual lenses. LiDAR Waveform makes manual focusing more intuitive and convenient. Automated Manual Focus delivers an unrivaled focusing experience.

ActiveTrack Pro

DJI’s proprietary computer vision, deep learning technology, and the robust computing power of CineCore 3.0 combine in ActiveTrack Pro, which enables cinema-standard tracking shots, even in just one take. This technology also allows subjects to be tracked from longer distances and features composition adjustment with continuous autofocusing to keep subjects in focus during tracking shots.

4-Axis Active Stabilization on Par with a Dolly

DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-Axis to the traditional 3-axis gimbal, which effectively decreases vertical camera shake and offers stabilization performance on par with a dolly. The four axes work together with a downward ToF sensor, forward and downward dual-visual sensors, a built-in IMU and barometer, and an advanced new algorithm to bring the overall stabilization to a whole new level.
The Z-Axis effectively eliminates vertical camera shake and works with visual sensors and ActiveTrack Pro to let you create smooth, stable footage effortlessly. 

Built-In 9-Stop ND Filters

X9 has 9-stop built-in high-quality ND filters (ND 2 to ND 512, or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7) that can be quickly and easily switched thanks to an internal motorized system. These filters were also designed to match and compliment the color science of Ronin 4D.

DJI DL Lenses

X9’s standard DL mount supports a set of compact full-frame prime lenses. The housings are made of lightweight, monocoque carbon fiber, so each lens weighs just 180 g.
In addition to prime lenses, X9 is compatible with DJI’s first cinema zoom lens DL PZ 17-28 mm T3.0 ASPH, which covers ultra-wide to wide-angle focal lengths with a minimum object distance of 0.19 m, delivering ultra-high resolution from center to edge. The lens body is made of magnesium aluminum alloy and weighs only approximately 520 g, making it a perfect match for the X9 gimbal camera from size to weight.

With a servo zoom motor built in, the lens delivers smooth and reliable motorized zoom without the need for mounting external focus motor or lens calibration. Gimbal re-balancing is also not required after zoom. Thanks to its precise back focus control and native system calibration, autofocus, manual focus, and automated manual focus (AMF) are all more outstandingly accurate.

Interchangeable Mounts

X9 supports interchangeable lens mounts, including DJI’s proprietary DL mount as well as third-party mounts like Leica L, Leica M, Sony E, and ARRI PL (E-mount and PL-mount units are provided by third parties). Ultra-wide, f/0.95 large-aperture, power zoom, macro, and anamorphic lenses that are compatible with traditional cinema cameras also work on X9, providing flexible lens options.

Up to 20,000-foot Wireless Transmission and Control Range

O3 Pro Video Transmission Technology adds DFS frequency bands and enables 1080p/60fps video transmission. It supports one transmitter with multiple receivers and can remotely control gimbal, focusing, and camera settings.

Extendable Solution Ronin 4D Flex

The new extendable solution, Ronin 4D Flex, reduces the handheld weight down to 1.8 kg, which is only around 34% of the original weight, making it superbly useful for cinematographers who require long-duration shooting, especially in mobile scenarios like recording documentaries, interviews, or events.
The lightweight Ronin 4D Flex delivers unique advantages both in terms of its portability and high performance to meet cinematic-grade needs for high-quality imagery. With the DJI Flex, camera position possibilities are much more flexible. Especially useful for through-shots and movements in narrow spaces like car interiors. The extension cable adopts an ultra-thin coaxial cable, supporting lossless transmission of 8K high-speed signals.
