The Hasselblad XCD 75mm f/3,4 P is a standard lens with a 59mm equivalent focal length, combining powerful performance with a lightweight and agile design. In portrait and street photography, it not only enhances the allure of your work with its exceptional optical quality but also adds a unique touch of lightness to your shooting experience through its multiple ingenious lightweight design elements.
Hasselblad XCD 3.4/75P adopts an optical structure of ten elements in ten groups, including one aspherical element and three ED elements, effectively suppressing chromatic dispersion. This sophisticated design results in a compact form and delivers powerful optical performance that meets the resolution demands of a 100-megapixel sensor. Whether at the centre or the edges of the frame, it provides sharp, clear images and vibrant, lifelike colours.
Additionally, compared to the XCD 4/28P and XCD 4/45P lenses in the same series, the XCD 3.4/75P's maximum aperture is expanded from f/4 to f/3.4. This allows for more detail capture in low-light portrait and produces a more appealing bokeh.
The XCD 3.4/75P is the longest focal length and largest aperture medium format lens in the XCD P series to date. With a 59mm equivalent focal length, it sits between standard and mid-tele lenses, combining the advantages of both. It is suitable for full-length and half-length portraits, street photography, and still life.
The longer focal length paired with the f/3.4 maximum aperture provides a soft, natural bokeh, creating pleasing portrait images. Its performance rivals that of the XCD 2.8/65, a lens known for its large aperture.
The XCD 3.4/75P continues the new generation design language of the XCD P series lenses. Its sleek metal body is accentuated by a signature "H" pattern around the focus ring, highlighting Hasselblad's distinctive style.
Weighing only 398g and measuring just 71mm in length, it is 45% lighter and 24% shorter than the XCD 2.8/65, making it an ideal choice for portrait and street photography.
Hasselblad XCD 3.4/75P adopts a linear stepping motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group, which means the focusing lens group can quickly reach the focusing position and achieve a precise stop, resulting in more responsive focusing. The XCD 3.4/75P utilises a linear stepper motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group. The linear stepping motor allows for more precise control of the focusing lens group, enhancing focusing accuracy, while the lighter, smaller focusing lens group enables faster focusing. When paired with X System or V System medium format digital cameras that support PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), you will appreciate the swift, quiet, precise, and flexible focusing experience.
The XCD 3.4/75P features a compact leaf shutter module that operates with minimal vibration and noise. This allows you to shoot confidently in quiet environments.
Additionally, the leaf shutter offers speeds up to 1/2000 second, making it easy to capture high-speed moving subjects. It also supports flash synchronisation at all speeds, enabling you to use flash to darken the surrounding background and highlight the subject even in bright sunlight, achieving exceptional results.
