New Full-Frame Sensor

The SL3 features a new full-frame sensor with triple resolution technology, allowing photographers to shoot in DNG and JPG formats at 60, 36 and 18 megapixels with ISO ranges from 50 to 100,000. This flexibility perfectly meets the demands of digital publications, print or fast mobile workflows.

The legendary Leica lenses, may it be the APO and Standard lenses for the SL-System or the legendary M-Lenses, complement the SL3 perfectly and provide unrivalled image sharpness and clarity for both photography and video.

New Autofocus System

The new Autofocus System of the Leica SL3 combines three distinct technologies that operate with advanced algorithms to create a fast, accurate, and reliable autofocus across various shooting scenarios:

Maestro IV Processor

This state-of-the-art image processor ensures fast and reliable operation of the Leica SL3 for both photo and video applications. Optimal noise characteristics, rapid signal processing, and the unique Leica colour reproduction are just a few of the many aspects this high- performance processor with L 2 technology brings to photography and videography Specifically for videographers, the Maestro IV supports the data transfer speed of the CFexpress Type B interface and the ability to record 8K videos and a range of highly efficient video codecs.

New Leica UX Design

The new icon and menu design of the Leica SL3 results in a clear structure and ease of
navigation. Photographers can efficiently adjust settings and controls on the camera's display interface with its enhanced touch interaction.
The SL3’s user interface adapts based on the orientation of the camera body. This feature ensures that the information and controls remain legible and accessible, regardless of how the camera is tilted or
positioned.

The camera's grip, button layout, and overall form factor have been optimized to
provide a comfortable and intuitive user experience. It is smaller and lighter, but not too small to disrupt the familiar handling Leica customers are used to, and it is perfectly balanced with all currently available Leica L-mount lenses.
The new tiltable display with its high-quality and durable tilting mechanism offers flexibility, allowing it to view the frame from various angles. The enhanced Top Display provides a clear and quick overview on the photographic values while shooting.

Contemporary UI

With the SL3, the Screendesign is reduced to the essential elements. Layouts and components have been modernised and harmonised forstering an intuitive and seamless interaction. Every icon and every layout has been refined to enhance overall user experience.

Connectivity

The SL3 features a variety of interface options for data transfer and connectivity. These include slots for both CFexpress and SD cards, a USB-C port for fast data transfer and charging, and a full-size HDMI output for external monitors or recording devices and a dedicated timecode interface.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi using MIMO technology ensure stable and fast connectivity. Wireless data transfer is up to 10x faster than in previous models. A full resolution DNG files can be transferred to the Leica FOTOS app within approx. 2 seconds.

Constructed with precision and attention to detail in Wetzlar, Germany. The Leica SL3 boasts a robust build designed to withstand the challenges of daily use. Only quality materials have been chosen to ensure longevity and reliability, with an all-metal solid body featuring an IP54 rating. The camera is powered by the new large-capacity BP-SCL6 battery.
The new optional dual charger equipped with USB-C and the new AC-Adapter, enables quicker charging times and the simultaneous charging of two batteries.
