Black Mist Filter 1/4 – For Swift System – Nano Coating with Optical Glass

The NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter for NiSi True Color VND Swift System is a diffusion filter designed for use with the NiSi Swift System. Create that cinematic look by reducing highlights and lowering contrast while also softening wrinkles and blemishes to create a soft, pastel-like quality of light. With an extra layer of black specks, this filter provides little loss of detail across the image compared to traditional diffusion filters. The nano-coating on this filter is waterproof and anti-reflective, making it ideal for use in any type of photography. This filter can be used with the Swift System adapter ring or added on to the NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stops/5- 9stops for even more protection against light.

The NiSi Swift System works seamlessly with the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter allowing the capability to be expanded by adding extra filters simply by pressing them on the front of the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter.

Adding the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter for the NiSi True Color VND Swift System, the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter is expanded to a 1-5 VND filter with Black Mist. Or use the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter for the NiSi True Color VND Swift System with the optional adaptor ring (sold separately) and attach it directory to a lens.

Suppress highlights and lift shadows

NiSi’s Black Mist suppresses highlights and lifts shadows for well-balanced contrast. Light sources maintain a strong center with a pleasing glow from the light source.

Black Mist is for many applications

Not only for portrait photography, Black Mist filters can also be used in other scenes, such as night photography, landscape, and still life… to create a cinematic atmosphere. Black Mist adds extra blooming and gradients to the highlights in your scene. Any direct light source will become more film-like, with a smoother, buttery texture around the highlights.

The unique lens grade optical glass that made the NiSi brand famous was also used for this ND Variable. Furthermore, there is the Nano Coating treatment which makes the surface waterproof and resistant to grease and dirt. Cleaning the filters has never been easier.

This filter is not threaded on the lens side, as NiSi created a new Push to Fit system in order to adapt easily and “swift” the NiSi Black Mist 1/4 Filter to your TRUE COLOR ND-VARIO 1-5stops (0.3-1.5) or stacking it together with the True Color ND16 4 stops, or using it by itself with the optional adapter ring for the Swift System.
