The hardware has also been improved, with a faster and more advanced performance. The MixPre 6 features four ultra-low-noise Kashmir microphone preamps with adjustable limiters for exceptional audio fidelity.

The built-in 6 x 2 portable mixer allows you to create a mix on the fly for added flexibility. You can also record up to five tracks to an SD card, and even auto-copy to a USB drive. The powerful integrated headphone amp allows for clear, accurate referencing of the audio.
